When to use this tool

Crop to remove unwanted edges, focus attention or change composition. Cropping keeps a region of the original; it does not generate content outside the border or add pixels. Use expansion when you need more background.

Prepare and locate the action

Select the source image on your project canvas and find Crop. If it is not visible, check More Tools and whether the asset type supports it. Keep the original and make sure you have permission to edit and use the source.

Step-by-step workflow

Open Crop from More Tools on the selected image. Adjust the crop box and available ratio or region controls. Check that important subjects, lettering and margins remain inside the box before applying. Keep the original for alternative compositions.

Example workflow

For a tighter square product image, keep the full product visible and leave appropriate breathing room. For social posts, consider where interface overlays may cover important details.

Settings and costs

Cropping processes an existing image region without an AI repainting model. Saving the result uses upload, so account and upload checks can still apply. Follow any current credit or upload message, and distinguish cropping from separately requested upscaling or generation.

Troubleshooting and quality checks

A tighter crop retains fewer pixels. If the result is too small, consider a less aggressive crop before upscaling. Avoid stretching the product into a different shape.
