YourArt Image Collector Privacy
Updated September 8, 2026
Images stored on your device
When you open the collection panel or request a scan or collection, the extension reads images on the authorized current page. Selected image files, source URLs, titles, collection times and task status are saved in the extension's local browser storage. Local collection does not require a YourArt account. The extension does not collect browsing history or read site cookies. When drag collection is enabled, an isolated listener detects user image drags on authorized websites; only images dropped into the collection box are saved.
Sending to YourArt
Choose or create a project in the side panel and select Collect to project to save and upload selected images in one action. The extension sends the image file, source page URL and title, collection time, clip identifier and destination project to YourArt. It receives your YourArt account identifier, project names and identifiers, and import and storage allowance information, and remembers the destination for your account. Right-click and drag collection use that destination. Uploads continue in a local queue after the panel closes; interrupted tasks can resume and failed images remain available for retry. The canvas opens only when you choose Open canvas. The extension uses your existing YourArt website session, reusing a website tab or opening one in the background. YourArt's hosting and object storage process the uploaded files and metadata. Passwords and session cookies are not read or stored by the extension. Collection does not itself request AI generation; if you later use an image in a website generation or editing task, the selected provider processes it under the main privacy policy.
Browser permissions
The extension requests HTTP/HTTPS website access at installation to detect image drags, find page images and download selected images. Drag collection is enabled by default and can be disabled in the side panel; disabling it removes drag listeners. You can also restrict website access in Chrome extension settings. Current-tab and scripting permissions find page images and submit requests through your signed-in YourArt website. Context menus provide right-click collection; the side panel displays images and projects. Local storage keeps language and per-account project preferences, image files and pending tasks. The alarms permission resumes pending collection tasks after interruption.
Retention and deletion
Local collections remain until you delete them, clear extension data or uninstall. Uploaded images follow YourArt's account and canvas retention policies. Removing local images does not delete uploaded copies. Import records retain source information, import results and cumulative trial usage; deleting canvas items does not restore the free trial allowance. Account identifiers, storage entitlements, usage and purchase records are used to manage collection capacity and purchases. Expiry of additional storage reduces capacity for new imports and does not automatically delete existing files. See the main privacy policy for account-data requests and contact details.
Use of data
Collected data is used to save your selected images, import them into YourArt, display their sources, and manage import limits and collection storage. The extension does not sell collected data, use it for advertising or load remote executable code. It sends no background browsing analytics. YourArt's existing website privacy policy also applies when you open and use the website.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
YourArt's use and transfer of user data received through this extension and Chrome APIs comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. This data is used only to provide or improve the image collection and import features and their related operations. It is not used or transferred for personalized advertising, data brokerage, creditworthiness or lending decisions. Human access is limited to your explicit consent for specific data, aggregated and anonymized internal operations, security investigations, or legal requirements. Transfers are limited to providing or improving these features, complying with applicable law, protecting against fraud or abuse, or a merger, acquisition or asset sale with your explicit prior consent. These restrictions also apply when YourArt processes extension-derived data on the website; a broader provision in the main website policy does not override them.
